Today we started with Notre Dame!
Part of the River Seine
Some shops and cafe's next to Notre Dame
Nathan took a wonderful panorama of Notre Dame! :) He is awesome!
I had to get a shot of the cobble stone roads here! I think its really fun! :)
A statue outside of Notre Dame (if you look closely there is a random broom on the statue ...)
Notre Dame
The great hall
Side view
Nathan thought these chairs were really cool! They all attached to each other. He wants to build some one day! :)
Here is one all by itself.
This is the organ in the back.
Another of the great hall
I took this because Nathan and I are always getting asked by other tourists to take pictures of them with their phones! :) Nathan is always so good at it! He always asks for them to proof the photos he took, or he moves them if its not a good location and even takes their hats off if it casts a weird shadow! :) Little do the people know that they are asking a professional photographer and hobbiest husband to take photos of them on their phones!!
The guy that we took photos for snapped this awesome photo for us! It pays to help others! :)
These windows were so pretty!
This is one of the confession boxes in the cathedral.
A memorial to Joan of Arc
We think that this is a statue of the resurrection of Christ.
These paintings were everywhere! They were huge! :)
I think this is Holy water? It was at the front of the cathedral.
Okay so I'm not really sure what these are because we don't read French but these were down a hall that you had to pay for in order to see the "treasures" of Notre Dame. So we paid for it and when we got in there we were sad to see that this section had nothing in English :( and there was no reception so we couldn't look up what we were reading .. so we took pictures.
We think that this holds a piece of the cross of Christs crucifixion.
And that maybe this holds a piece of the crown of thorns?
Or maybe part of the crown of thorns is in here?
This was just cool I thought! ;)
This is a photo of the doorway to Notre Dame
The River
We walked around and found these all on a bridge next to the Louvre (yup those are a lot of locks!)
Here is a close up photo! :)
We wanted a photo by the river!
Part of the Louvre (We will be back to explore it another day!)
We walked to the Latin Quarter! :)
Here is a different street of the Latin Quarter! :)
Dinner! We had paninis again! :) Yum!
This was the place we ate at! He has the worlds BEST crepes, according to trip advisor! :)
Don't worry we got a crepe! :)
Yum!!!!!
First bite! :)
It was so so good!!! :)
Here is the shop from the outside! :) I hope we go back! It was so good!
We found a little grocery store so we went in! :)
Nathan found his drinks! :)
Then we found colored toilet paper! (we had to take a picture for my sister, Christina, because she is always talking about colored toilet paper from her mission in Bolivia!)
I bought a nectarine! :) Yum!
Another view of the Latin Quarter.
Some of the restaurants, motorcycles drive through this ... haha
We ran into a cathedral on our way back to our hostel right outside of the Latin Courter.
Now we are back at our hostel and going to bed because we are gettin up early tomorrow to see the Palace of Versailles!! :) Till then Good Night!
