Second Day in Rome

This day we decided to go to the grocery store to get some snacks for the week. When we got there these were the carts they had! We thought they were really interesting! :)

We got a salad and a sandwich for lunch.

This was the dressing for the salad, oh yeah and a little package of salt.

These were some of the snacks we got for the week. We didn't want to keep buying food while we were out! We also got a basket of nectorines, some grapes and some Powerade! :)

This was our first stop! These stairs are called the Spanish steps, they connected the piazza be you're with the Spanish embassy back in the day. It was pretty cool! :)

Nathan was looking up the history of the stairs :)

This is a really pretty Church covered in scaffolding.

The view from the top.

The fountain at the bottom of the stairs

After we decided to go "shopping" aka window shopping Haha they had a lot of really cool stores! We took a picture of this one for my sister! :)

We came upon another chapel! :)

One of the street's with all the shops.

Someone important was shopping today this black car was parked outside the store for a while. It had bullet proof glass and lots of security around it with police escorting the car. One on the front and another in the back. Not sure who it was but it seemed really cool! :) Haha

Nathan found the Ferrari store! :)

We went inside this time! :) We took a picture of the back of the car because the staff was looking at us funny!! Haha I guess we don't look like Ferrari buyers?

Some stuff in the store

Nathan really enjoyed looking at everything! :)

Yes they had this hanging on the wall! :)

When we came out of the store the car had two people in it and they were driving away.

We found some ruins as we walked around. This was a tomb.

We decided to walk around the city for a bit and came upon the Tiber river.

We found a pointy church, it was called the church of the sacred heart for here in Rome.

Ok so this is sad but funny at the same time because about a block before this Nathan and I were talking about how much nicer it is when you get a little further out of the city. Then we found this car with its window broken...

And these bikes looted and left for dead.

This was a cool building not sure what it was for but it was nice!

Nathan tried to figure it out by looking it up :)

We found a beautiful fountain.

We found the Castle of the Holy Angel.

This was the bridge that lead to the castle.

It's too bad it was closed when we got there. :(

As we were walking around we saw a cool car. There was a newly married couple in the car! :)

We decided to walk to the Vatican.

As we were walking we saw this beautiful red Ferrari

We made it to St. Peters Square.

One of the fountains! :)

We took advantage of not having the crowds (because we were here in the evening) so we took some pictures! :)

As we were leaving we saw this gate and some guards in their different uniforms!

Some friends told us to try this gelato, so we found the place and tried some.

It was really yummy but we would not suggest getting the cream on top, it was tasteless.

After all of that we went to find the entrance to the Vatican museum so that we would be prepared for when we came back! :)
